Online reputation

Gather and analyse what the open web says about a company, automatically

Introduction

Checking what the open web says about a company is research an analyst does by hand, one search at a time. The online reputation check does it in one pass: it searches public sources, reads what it finds, and returns a summary and a reputational risk profile.

How it works

The check searches public sources using what the case already knows about the company, then analyzes the results and produces:

  • A clear, concise summary of relevant online mentions
  • An AI-driven risk profile comment

Too little information, negative signals or suspicious results send the check to Need Review, for your team to read and decide. Everything else is approved automatically.

Launching the check

Open a company — main or affiliated — and click Start new check, or add the check to a template so it runs on its own.

Prompt customization in settings

The Online Reputation Check comes with a default multi-section prompt to shape the scope and depth of the analysis performed by the AI. Customizing the prompt lets you tailor the check to your internal policies, risk appetite, and sector-specific needs.

How to customize the prompt
Dotfile includes a robust default prompt covering website assessment, company information, public sentiment, and risk indicators.

In your Workspace Check Settings, you can modify the default prompt to add, remove, or rephrase instructions according to your requirements. Changes to the prompt will affect how the AI interprets and structures the report.

Restore default prompt puts the original back in one click.

Note: custom prompts are limited to 6,000 characters.
