KYC and KYB portals
The two portal types, and which one to build for which journey
There are two types of Client Portal, and the one you build depends on who is on the other side.
- A KYC Portal collects information for a single individual — the person is the subject of
the verification, and the journey is theirs alone. - A KYB Portal collects information for a business: the company itself, plus its legal
representatives and beneficial owners, who may each have to provide their own documents.
You can run as many Client Portals as you need — one per market, per product, per language, per
onboarding journey. Each one has its own public URL, so a portal is also how you choose which
journey a given counterparty lands in.
