Veriff configuration

Configure Veriff's identity document and identity verification modes

Veriff offers two types of verification: identity document and identity verification.

Identity document

An identity document check involves uploading a PDF or JPEG picture or scan of an identity document. Several verification and anti-fraud checks are run on it to establish authenticity.

Identity verification (liveness verification)

Veriff also offers identity verification, a more secure method: the end user films their document and takes a video selfie, which establishes that both the document and the person are present.

You can enable it in your settings, under Checks then the Identity Verification tab.

Automatic decision or manual review

Both checks can be configured to be approved or rejected automatically based on Veriff's result, or set up for manual review. With manual review, the user is notified and a task is created.
