Concept (legacy onboarding flow)
The Onboarding Flow is a step-by-step user-facing journey meant to collect the data needed to carry out the KYB process. You can access a demo here.
In a nutshell, the key steps a user will go through as part of a standard onboarding flow are:
- Search and prefill company info thanks to connections with official registers.
- Correct and/or provide data about the business, its shareholders, legal representatives, or subsidiaries.
- Fill out custom forms that can contain compliance-related questions.
- Provide documents or undergo identity verification depending on the user's situation.
Depending on your needs, a hybrid flow that lets the user choose whether they are an individual or a company can be implemented. The user is then redirected to either a KYC-only flow or a KYB flow.
The initial stage where information is collected on the customer and its company is called the Conversion Stage.
When the Conversation Stage is completed, a Case is created in Dotfile, the company and all the individuals are added, and a Template of checks is triggered. Once this is done, the user ends up on the Completion Stage, where they will be asked to provide their documents or undergo verifications.
